meet the influentials
Call Pietel the Don Johnson of the Belgian blogosphere, macho and fragile at the same time. Calling your blog a "Scheet in een Fles" (Dutch for Fart in a Bottle) means that you don't take things too seriously. Pietel is a web/life/marketingblog with an unseen interest in photography. A blog spanning more then 3000 posts that received +20K comments so far. A voice that keeps getting stronger.
In our overcomplicated little country where soon everybody will be a one-person-minority himself there are still some true Belgians left. Mich writes his blog in Dutch AND French and is one of the driving forces behind bxlblog, as if that isn't enough to pass the are-you-a-real-Belgian-test, he loves beer! Apart from being a Belgian he is mere mortal geek just like the rest of us.
If we had to pick one Belgian Blogger and give him the title Citizen Journalist, the winner would probably be lvb. An internet entrepreneur since 1995, a sharp pen, a large fan base and a blog that most of you have stumbled upon at a certain time. Writing his opinion on everything that needs an opinion.
Clo Willaert's blog started out as a link-dump and has grown to a treasure for finding those weird links that help you get through the day. A profound interest in interactive marketing combined with a profound interest in lolcatz results in an irresistible magic potion called bnox. A self described bitch, lover, child, mother, sinner and a saint certainly lives up to her reputation.
20some years, a head, a body, two arms, two hands with a chronic-write-syndrome, two legs and two feet who have a relation with bones, some brown hair, some fat here and there, but above all with a gigantic "joie de vivre"!
Tales of Drudgery and Boredom. If there would be one adjective to describe Zog, it should be Eclectic. Interests range from insects (lots of them) to music to the wonderful city of Ghent. A hardcore blogger who loves to share his thoughts on what he sees, reads, smells and hears.
Blogging from Balegem. Nobody in our office knows where Balegem is located, but what we do know is that if everybody in Balegem spreads his opinion with the same dose of humor as Houbi it must be one of the funniest places around. Houbi has mastered the ancient art of being funny.
What if you blend two creative students with a digital movie camera and that small thing called the internet. The result is Stew, two media enthusiasts and excellent media watchers. Rocking the internet since 2005, Stew has conquered their own little spot in the Belgian blogosphere.
Bloggingthenews bridges the gap between the internet and the more traditional media. Everybody in the french-speaking part of our little country wants to read Damien's opinion on the latest developments. Spot-on analyses of what rumbles and moves on the digital highway.
The blog on the blogosphere. Numbercruncher Bruno loves the sweet taste of stats in the morning. Whether it is social networks, twitter or the blogosphere. Bruno analyzes them, and analyzes them good. A must-read for everyone involved in online media.
Koen Fillet started his blog when preparing for the NYC Marathon. He never made the finish, but thank god he continued his blog. A fresh view on media, an inside look at the job of making radio and great music tips. Combine all these topics with a great sense of humor and you have one hell of a blog.
Maarten Schenk, a.k.a. Maarten Streaming is always on the lookout for a network. Without a connection to the internet, Maarten is doomed and starts to dissolve in thin air. When you see Maarten, he is probably streaming the moment. You never know what you might miss when you forget to stream the moment.
It is quite amazing that a blog that focusses 100% on the automobile industry can interest someone who isn't really into cars (like us). Drivr elevates the art of automotive blogging to a whole new level. Jaw-dropping photography, spot-on car reviews, amazing journeys in the history and the evolution of the automobile.

We were asked by RCA to help them promote the Crangon Crangon (commonly known as the brown or sand shrimp). Besides their fresh website and blog the Dutch fishery agency wanted to promote these delicious shrimps of the North Sea by reaching out to the blogosphere.
Throughout a 4 week period bloggers were invited to make and share an original yet tasty dish incorporating shrimps. The best recipes, judged by chef Felix Allen, were eligible for a spot in the grand finale where they would compete for a great weekend at the Waddenzee with friends or family.
